Hello Everyone.
I just wanted say I've started a very unusual gaming site. I call it "The Obsidian Gate". Files, a chat room, message boards ect. I wanted to create a site around gamers that was a little different that what was out there. Check it out (signing up is required but it takes a whole two seconds and its free).

advise
i was thinking about starting a campaign where one of the members was evil, a spy or in some way working against the party in secret. however i wasn't sure how to go about doing this. i think that it would need to be a campaign with alot of note passing but i feel like i would need to give the other members something that would give them cause to note pass. also the XP would need to be individualized in a way where if the spy was able to set the party up for badness or throw them off the trail or some such thing that they would get extra. any ideas?

Culture Idea...
Culture Idea…
Masks are worn to stave off the darkening effects of the sun. In order to express oneself visually, a person might have several masks available to them. A smiling mask for pleasant conversation, a laughing mask for comic relief, a sad mask for grief, etc… Masks are only worn in public and it is considered a faux pas to wear a mask indoors unless it is a social event like a party.

Anyway... something that just popped into my head today.

World Creation Project
Hello,

I'm part of a collaborative online world creation project. The goal of the project is to make a complete open game content fantasy world (d20 system, same one used by D&D) for the use of gamers. Right now we've got a small handful of really active members, but we need new blood. Therefore I'm posting here looking to attract new people to give their opinions, ideas and take part in this really neat world project.

You can read more about it here: http://www.tabcreations.com/viewtopic.php?t=661

The development and discussion of the project itself takes place primarily on the forums located here: http://www.tabcreations.com/index.php?c=6

Thanks. I look forward to seeing you there!

Japanese vs. Chinese
What are the implications of this article on a campaign setting? How would one integrate the Chinese way of creating foreign words with the native alphabet vs. the Japanese way of creating an entirely new alphabet for foreign words?

Mindshadows Unearthed
My group playtested some of Green Ronin’s Mindshadows setting. For those that don’t know… Mindshadows is a Psionics-heavy setting based in part on South Asia (India). Sometime into our playtest campaign, we heard about the impending release of Arcana Unearthed. As soon as AU came out we decided to try and fit AU’s races and classes into Mindshadows.

One problem… a major part of the flavor of Mindshadows is the inclusion of Psionics. It proved to be problematic only because we didn’t take enough time to really think about the impact of the Psionics Handbook on AU. The notes I’ll provide here should go a long way in helping anyone else incorporate the AU system into the Mindshadows setting.
